A Push to Coordinate Efforts on Various Social Media

Workspan Ad May 2011

GEO’s ad for the National Equity Compensation Forum in Workspan

Watching work unfold for a client can be exciting. The Global Equity Organization is launching a new conference, the National Equity Compensation Forum, and we are gearing up for summer full of social media opportunities as we draw closer to the Forum.

I have the good fortune to work with a talented designer and staff, as we published an ad in the May 2011 issue of Workspan magazine for the upcoming event.

We’re also pushing the ad out through the event blog, which then gets pushed as well as on the organization’s discussion groups on LinkedIn, the fan page on Facebook, and on Twitter.

We’re hitting the main social media venues where GEO’s message can get some exposure, and in a couple of weeks we’ll make another push through conventional means, including snail mail, WorldatWork’s conference, and word-of-mouth.

Next on the list: the Forum via YouTube. I’ll embed the video a little later on next week after we announce it in GEO’s e-newsletter and get it up on the site.

There are many opportunities to take advantage of what social media has to offer. Take a moment and review your marketing strategy. You may find a message that’s just right for social media to reach the right audience—and chances are, it’s your current customer or client base.
